Early interventions

Early Intervention Services are special services for infants and toddlers at risk for developmental delays. These services are designed to identify and meet children’s needs in five developmental areas.

Counselling

Identify and address learning and behaviour problems that interfere with school success. Evaluate eligibility for special education services. Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural health.

Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of health care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. OT can help them regain independence in all areas of their lives.

Behavioral management

Behavior management, similar to behavior modification, is a less-intensive form of behavior therapy. Unlike behavior modification, which focuses on changing behavior, behavior management

Special education

special education, also called special needs education, the education of children who differ socially, mentally, or physically from the average to such an extent that they require modifications of usual school practices.

Play therapy

Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Play therapy utilizes play, children’s natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words.

Psychological assessment

A psychological assessment can include numerous components such as norm-referenced psychological tests, informal tests and surveys, interview information, school or medical records, medical evaluation, and observational data.

Sensory integaration

Sensory integration is a term that has been used to describe processes in the brain that allow us to take information we receive from our 5 senses, organize it, and respond appropriately.
